Re: How to get the caste certificate to apply for IBPS?

The percentage required in IBPS Clerk exam to pass for next round generally depends on the competition for that particular post and also on the question papers given in that particular year. Basically for sc/st it may be 120 and above , for obc 140 and above and for general candidates it will be 150 plus.

Yes, it is mandatory to apply for IBPS Clerk exam if want to have a job in a public sector banks under ibps as a clerk.

If You do not have the caste certificate with you then you will be treated as a general candidate and accordingly you need to get qualified as a general candidate than as a candidate having reservation.

1.What is the percentage required in IBPS Clerk exam to pass for next round?

Ans:-After clearing exam next round is to face interview.Since last year IBPS has been made common interview for all the candidates. You need to apply for the interview & in call letter will be given all the necessary information regarding interview & documents. To pass the clerk exam a reserved category candidate need to score 17 marks out of 40 marks in each of the subjects & a general category candidate need to score 19 marks out of 40 marks in each of the subjects.SO,if you score that much marks then will declare pass but better to score above 23-25 marks in each subjects so that you could get job if clear interview.

2.Is it mandatory to apply for IBPS Clerk exam?

Ans:-Ni,it is not mandatory to apply for Clerk exam,IBPS is not going to force you to apply for Clerk or any exam.It is up to you if you think it is beneficiary for you then apply for the exam. You should know that IBPS include banks & other financial institute.Earlier, those banks conducted separate exam so candidates were having lots of exams but not only only 1 exam for all those banks.Below I have mentioned banks & other institution names which are under IBPS.

    1. Allahabad Bank
    2. Central Bank of India
    3. Indian Bank
    4. Syndicate Bank
    5. Andhra Bank
    6. Corporation Bank Indian
    7. Overseas Bank UCO Bank
    8. Bank of Baroda
    9. Dena Bank
    10. Oriental Bank of Commerce
    11. Union Bank of India
    12. Bank of India
    13. ECGC Punjab National Bank
    14. United Bank of India
    15. Bank of Maharashtra
    16. IDBI
    17. Bank Punjab & Sind Bank
    18. Vijaya Bank
    19. Canara Bank
    20. Any other bank or financial institution
3.What are the problem will I face if I don't have the caste certificate with me?

Ans:-I don;t think so you will face any problem because IBPS itself provide caste certificate format for reserved category candidates. After clearing the exam those candidates who are about to face interview,IBPS want those candidates to download caste certificate from www.ibp.in
You will get full format for that certificate & has to be filled accurately without any mistake.

To get the caste certificate you need to go to the tehsil and then buy a form of caste certificate (jati praman patra) and fill that with the help of any person over there and give it to any small notary person he will assist you by sending it to the office and getting the stamp over it for that you need to have the voter id and ration card to check for the same.
They will check the name and surname for giving the certification for the same.
Try this as the procedure is simple and it hardly take 100 rs for the same if you do this work with the help of dalal.

Re: How to get the caste certificate to apply for IBPS?

Eligibility for IBPS CWE clerk examination 2013

Candidate should have passed graduation examination of a recognized university or should posses any other equivalent qualification from a reputed institute or university. Final year pursuing candidates or those who are appearing for final year examination or awaited for final year/semester exam result may not apply for CWE clerk examination or any other CWE too

You must not have attained the age of 28 years and must have attained 20 years of age before applying for CWE Clerk examination. Upper age relaxation can be claimed by all reserved category candidates after completing 28 years of age that is provided as per government norms - 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen and 10 years for Person With Disability Candidates

Computer Knowledge has been mandatory for CWE clerk exam that requires a degree or certificate or diploma in computer application/ language/ science from a reputed institute or university and should have good working knowledge on computers

If you want to become Clerk in anyone of those 20 banks which are under IBPS then you will have to apply for CWE Clerk examination because IBPS conduct common written exam and common interview for clerk post for all 20 banks including other financial industries/companies so CWE clerk exam is must to be passed to be eligible for clerk post in banks but not for SBI or RBI clerk exam because these banks conduct separate recruitment and not under IBPS

When you apply for IBPS CWE clerk then you should prepare well and care more for practice of examination and try to secure more than 75% marks in examination for your final selection and this percentage criteria is for general category candidates and less marks requires for SC, ST, PWD candidates but do not lack in practice and score more than 80% marks in CWE then your selection is sure and final in any top bank among all 20 under IBPS

When you will go to face interview after passing examination then you will have to show your all original certificates and degrees etc. and if you are worried about caste certificate then do not worry because if you do not have certificate of your caste then you should go to the office of Collector in your District and fill up a particular application form for caste certificate and they will approve your caste certificate and remember that you have to get caste certificate approved by central government of India because those certificate which are provided by State Governments are not accepted in interview process so remember or you should go to the Tehsiel of your area and go to the Office of SDM of your area and apply for caste certificate and you will get that

    All the best

Re: How to get the caste certificate to apply for IBPS?

Percentage requirement in IBPS Clerk exam to pass for next round will be depending on the competition and the category you belongs to.

Yes it's mandatory for applying for IBPS Clerk exam to get a clerical job.Other wise do not apply if you don't want the clerck job.

The problem you face if you don't have the caste certificate with you is:
It's very simple if you belongs to reservation category and then do not have caste certificate then you may be treated as a general candidate or else you will be disqualified for the exam because you need to download the form from IBPS website itself and produce it while interview.

Re: How to get the caste certificate to apply for IBPS?

If you do not have the Caste certificate than you can always apply under the General Category.
But in that case you have to meet the minimum eligibity set for the General Category candidates

Minimum eligibilty to apply for the IBPS Clerks exams is:
    Graduation pass in any stream
No minimum marks is required in Graduation
    Age-
    Minimum 20 years
    Maximum 28 years

    IBPS Clerks selection procedure involves:
    >> written tests
    >> Interview

The cutoff for the written tests is not fixed, it will be kenown only when results are announced
But if you score more than 65% marks you would be able to clear the written tests cut off
Also you have to make sure that you get minimum passing marks in each section of the written exams

If you want to apply for the IBPS Clerks exams than YES, you ahve to fill the forms
It is expected IBPS will take 2013 IBPS Clerks written exams in december 2013

Re: How to get the caste certificate to apply for IBPS?

Friend, if you want to serve as a clerk in any nationalised bank, then you must have to appear for IBPS Clerk Examination. Without appearing in the IBPS Examination, no one can dreams of getting job in the banking sector. As far as marks required in IBPS Examination. It differs from category to category and examination to examination. It is suggested that a candidate of General category must fetch marks more that 140. And candidate of OBC catagory should fetch more than 130. Similarily, SC/ST category should fetch above 120. It is mandatory that candidate must be in possession of valid caste certificate in proper proforma & format. In the absence of caste certificate, you will be considered only under General category.
